a VG30? or a VQ35? Because I think the VQ30s are for the older maxima/i30

no i meant vq30.

not an american motor

VQ30DET

The 3.0 L (2,987 cc) VQ30DET is a turbocharged version of the VQ30DE. Bore and stroke are the same at 93 mm and 73.3 mm respectively, and it has a compression ratio of 9.0:1. It produces 270 PS (199 kW) and 271 ft·lbf (368 Nm) From 1998 onwards, it produces 280 PS (209 kW) @6000 rpm and 285 ft·lbf (387 Nm) @3600 rpm.

It is fitted to the following vehicles:

* 1995–2004 Nissan Gloria Y33,Y34
* 1995–2004 Nissan Cedric Y33,Y34
* 1997–1999 Nissan Leopard Y33
* 2001–present Nissan Cima F50

VQ30DETT

The twin-turbo VQ30DETT is an engine used in Nissan's race cars, primarily in the Super GT (formerly the JGTC). First used on the Skyline GT-R race cars during the 2003 season, this engine currently powers the Fairlady Z race cars - homologation rules allow them to use the VQ30DETT in lieu of the stock VQ35DE. Race output of this engine is estimated at around 480 PS or approximately 473 hp (353 kW).

It is fitted to the following vehicles:

* 2003–present Skyline GT-R JGTC race cars
* 2004–present Fairlady Z JGTC race cars
* 2005–present Fairlady Z Super GT race cars
* 2006–present Fairlady Z Super GT race cars

im a bit torn as to whats going to go into the sentra when the motor is rebuilt.

i think its going to be an interesting mixture of QR20 and QR25

QR20DE

The 2.0 L (1998 cc) QR20DE produces 157 hp (110 kW) and 148 ft·lbf (200 Nm) The bore is 89 mm with a stroke of 80.3 mm and a compression ratio of 9.9:1.[1]

Vehicle applications:

* 2001-present Nissan X-Trail (140 hp)
* 2001-2007 Nissan Primera P12
* 2002-present Nissan Serena C24, 145 hp (108 kW)

[edit] QR20DD

The QR20DD is similar to the QR20DE but features NEO direct injection to improve fuel economy and to reduce emissions.[2] It produces 150 hp.

Vehicle applications:

* 2000-2004 Nissan Bluebird Sylphy

[edit] QR25DE

The QR25DE is a 2.5 L (2488 cc) variant built in Decherd, TN with forged steel connecting rods, a steel timing chain, counter-rotating balance-shafts, and a nylon intake manifold. The engine bore is 89 mm with a stroke of 100 mm and a compression ratio of 9.5:1.[3] Output is rated 175 hp (130 kW) at 6000 rpm with 180 ft·lbf (244 Nm) of torque at 4000 rpm in the Altima and Sentra SE-R Spec V models. Altimas that are PZEV compliant create 170 hp and 175 ft·lbf of torque. Engines in the Sentra SE-R model have 165 hp (123 kW) with 175 ft·lbf (237 Nm) of torque. [4] In the 2005+ Nissan Frontier the QR25DE generates 154 hp and 173 ft·lbf of torque.[5] More recently, in the Nissan SE-R Spec V 2007+ the QR25DE generates 200 hp @ 6600 rpm and 180 ft·lbf of torque @ 5200 rpm with a 7000 rpm redline.[6]

Vehicle applications:

* 2002-present Nissan Sentra SE-R & SE-R Spec V
* 2002-present Nissan Altima 2.5, 2.5S , 2.5SL, Hybrid
* 2001-present Nissan Serena C24, 158 hp (118 kW)
* 2001-present Nissan XTrail APEC export version, 178 hp (133 kW)
* 2005-present Nissan Frontier King Cab XE 4x2
* 2003-2005 Nissan Teana 160 hp and 240 nm
* 2008-present Nissan Rogue 170 hp

but i did happen to find out a few interesting things as one of the spec v time attack cars is being built. so this is going to prove very useful to me when the time comes.
