fix it ticket in parking lot?

My brother said he got a fix it ticket for not having his front license plate. His car was parked in an office parking lot, face in. He came to find the ticket chillin on his windshield. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is this a case of someone with too much free time deciding to check cars in a parking lot?

Yep pretty standard really. Especially for front license plate tickets. Alway try to park your car so cops cant see the front

I've gotten a few no front plates tickets before but none of them were 'fix it' tickets. I just had to pay a $35 fee, which I mailed in. Strange.......

I once got a DUI when I not only wasn't in my car but it was broken and wouldn't even start. I interviewed 5 different lawyers and they all told me I couldn't shake it. Police can do what ever they want to us.

Something doesn't sound right about that.. Handing out tickets on what is essentially private property. I got the same ticket a few years ago in a Train Station parking lot (public lot)! Thanks L.A. County Sheriff's. Sucks but what you gonna do. I paid the fine and still don't have a front plate on my car

There are "private" parking lots around my area that have given permission to officers to enforce vehicle codes. There is usually a sign posted by the entrances warning you that the vehicle code it being enforced there.

Unfortunately this kind of nonsense does happen and the pigs CAN do that. Just put the front plate back on, take it down to a police station during one of your lunch breaks then pay that $10 court processing fee and be done with it.

Hey, did you guys get something in the mail after the fix it ticket was issued by the popo? I got one weeks ago but never received anything in the mail. I don't want to call and ask about it since I think the cop messed it up somehow. I don't want to pull a favor for something so trivial.

We all know cops are there to protect and serve!

I got a tinted window fix it ticket driving through some small town in north-east ca.

I told the officer I don't live in the area so I couldn't FIX IT right then.

He said "that ok son just send in the fee"

I love paying my share

How in the hell could he justify issuing a tix for exhaust while the car wasn't in operation?! That is truly MESSED UP!

Apparently it was under suspicion of soliciting a street race? Me and my friends were in front of nations. It just happens to be the nations that the street racers meet up at but they meet at the albertsons parking lot which is like on the other side of the plaza, and about 20 cars had just taken off to the freeway. We were just chiling outside having a cigarette when like 10 cops roll up. then were sitting there

I guess thats what I get for driving a FC with a single.
But the most messed up part was that my friend in his integra got a fix it ticket for CARB legal DC headers,AEM intake which had the CARB # plates on them. The officer wanted to see paperwork for them???

for our cars its illegal to have cone filters, you cant pass emissions with anything but stock airbox with airpump tube going into it. you can put whatever filter you want in the box tho.
