Fd owners in So cal??

Im Relocating from San Antonio Tx to Chino Ca, my old bro has a hookup on emmisions and i was wondering if the cops there are really strict and judge u as ur car looks. My car has a full kit and black on chrome. Worst thing is that i have no cats and have a t78 single setup. Do the cops look under car for cats and do they ask for inspection under hood?? Im pretty sure ther are more modded fds in Ca then mine just needed some info THanks.

No they won't be strict enough to check underneath and everythign, that will probably come along in the smog check if you gte an a-hole. However, they are dicks about noise. Only time I can think of them goign to the limits would be if they have somethign against you but don't have a probable cause to pull you over. Maybe you are a "street racer" or haning out at the wrong place at teh wrong time so they get you for a dumb reason. But going around with normal day life you should have no troubles on apperance as logn as you follow rules like no driving with neon lights etc. Good luck

I throw it in neutral and rollby cops to lessen the sound.

they'll get you for your HID's and then they'll tell you to "POP your hood." then they'll get you for "modified emissions" when they see intakes and they'll tell you to take it to a "CERTIFIED" smog check place. Meaning you can't get your "once every 2 year" hook up in this case. you better pray that your car passes... (which it probably wont)

You will not pass without a CAT!!! But in CA if it is an out of state car I think you can get you first tag with a failed smog, but on the secound year you must pass. So that will give you a year to sort it out.

a cop that pulled me over complimented me on how quiet my (modified) exhaust was. then he decided he couldnt get me for anything and let me go. luckily he never went infront of the car to look for a plate.

Well, it seems that it is all about appearance. If you look clean etc. the cops are busy....they let you go about your business. However If you wanna look like

I am sure you'll get pulled over and hassled

This'll get you pulled over as well

Or this

but after you get pulled over
