My car is out for a while when it comes to canyons, the autobacs meet is getting BORING, and my car broke the rear sub frame on my way home from work last week.That put me out for Friday. Thanks again to Mike(geargrabber) and Sisco(gettinghersideways) for the MAJOR help( who knew a rear diff mount could turn into a subframe swap!). I owe you 2 a days worth of labor , just for starters. Thanks hommies!

 

damn I know the whole time doing that run behind james and someother FC's didnt know who they where, I was watching sparks fly off james rear tires the whole way up lol, Damn James get a new tire

 

I'm up for GMR this upcoming friday.

edit: the trick to not getting bored at the meet is to show up at 9:00-9:30

yeah andrew i had bald tires, i'll be running this friday with my bald tires also, like always. oh yeah, james said my brakes weren't that good, so i guess i'll be running on whatever brakes also.

 

now now, i said u need to upgrade them brakes
cuz they are worst performing components of ur car =)

but yeah, it seems as this would be interesting,
cuz nismo's t2 is also equipped with coilovers
but he has r compounds and he's boostin....
can Andy make a name for him self???

I think andy only has coilovers and is a heavy bone stock s5, nismo has most every suspension mod and every other mod is a sunroofless 5 lug (woot woot represent!) thats gutted, cornerbalanced, boostin, etc etc nismo> <andy

I was wondering who's GTUs was that? It looks familliar. Any mods done to it, how did you fair up against it? Thanks

Ah, that was at California Speedway, we were at an SCCA Solo2 event that weekend (right before buttonwillow)

The GTUs is my friend Russells, I think his handle on here is Russ93FD? Its pretty extensively modded with AWR built subframes which are fully welded and have every stock bushing replaced with bearings, JRZ triple adjustable shocks/external resv. etc etc and now has a 6pt cage. Its also using RA1s same as mine but using a wider 255 rear.

We did pretty well at the events and put on a strong show for FC's. At the time of the autox, I had the entire stock turboback assembly (every stock cat) and was putting down near exact stock power levels (hahaha) so we were pretty even and we were within a second of each other for best lap times. Luckily we beat most of the street prepped cars including S2000s and new model STis putting down way more power. At the track event, they purposely kept splitting us up and we only got a lap or two in at the end of the day but I went off course which killed that preliminarly. I did get to mix it up a few laps with the red and black S2000 on the cover of some magazine this month and i was able to continuously draw him in but I think he was having problems with his turbo setup. The car and driver (GTUs) are exceptional and they usually show up to GMR in a white S2000 with CE28s.

Hey James. Couldn't make it last week. Had to go out to Gardena and didn't get home until about 11:00..... I'll try and see all you guys there tomorrow. Can't make any promises though....haha

Watch out for GMR. There's some treacherous turns there... This is what it did to my Corolla.....
