CA Engine Assembly

Hello guys, Im looking for anyone in the Bay Area to help with assemblying my engine. My friend that knows a lot about RX7s is a little too busy to finish it up. He dissasembled my motor and I want someone knowledgeable in everything to reassemble. PM me and we will work out a price for services. Thanks.

Aww,,, don't wait on your buddy or somebody to come out and do it for you.. You can do it yourself.. I'm on my first RX-7. I took the engine out myself, had a neighbor help me carry it into my work room to put it on an engine stand. Then as time went on, I just followed the advise of people on this website along with a mazda shop manual. I ordered engine parts online and got it all back together. The best day was when I passed Ca Smog! It's still running strong and almost 3000 miles. I drive it to work all the time. I also live near Santa Barbara and have driven it Las Vegas twice now! I have a lot of other things to do to it, but the main thing is I didn't know a thing about Rotory engines. If I can do it, anybody can! No specials tools needed!

Only things that are stopping me is taking off the flywheel and putting new pilot bearing, and installing the trans since pull time seems hard and a few wiring harness mishaps.

You can do it! I'm telling you! Just get the shop manual. Oh yea, I also looked on You-Tube. Lot's of free info on there. Specially on rebuilding the engine... I didn't take my trans out... Just took one item off the engine at a time, didn't disconnect the A/C because I know not to do that from past experiences with other cars. I kept track of everything I disconnected and bagged them and or used tape with written notes on them for later when I put it all back together. Keep all bolts and screws together with whatever item they came off of.... The engine was small so when it came to hoist it out,,, it was a piece of cake! Putting it back together was almost just the opposite... Just don't put the engine back together when your putting back in.

That is the complete engine... I did that, then realized, "Oh man, I can't get the wiring back on correctly without taking this part off, then in order to take this part off, I have to take that part off!...." But now I know..
