(Orange, Calif.) – As has become tradition for the Formula Drift drivers and fans, Dromo 1, Southern California’s premier indoor kart racing facility, will play host to them during Drift @ Dromo.
During the three hours of Drift @ Dromo, each race will feature at least one Formula Drift driver that will be competing against their fans who sign up to race against them. At the end of the evening, the event’s fastest drivers will take part in a runoff for prizes from Formula Drift, Sparco USA, Team Mopar and Dromo 1. Also on site will be an R/C Drift display, courtesy of HPI Racing. The event is scheduled to run from 7:00pm – 10:00pm.
At the last Drift @ Dromo event, Tanner Foust scored the pole in the main event with Kyle Mohan right behind. Mohan faded quickly while Foust also lost his pole position, but held on to finish third ahead of a very determined pack of karters who were eager to demote him further.
Scheduled to defend the honor of the Formula Drift Pro Championship are:
- Chris Forsberg, driver of the NOS Energy Drink/Maxxis Tire Nissan 350Z
- Tanner Foust, driver of the Rockstar Energy Drink Nissan 350Z
- Samuel Hubinette, driver of the Mopar Dodge Challenger
- Kyle Mohan, driver of the Kyle Mohan Racing/ Cooper Tire Mazda RX-7
- Patrick Mordaunt, driver of the PMRacing/ RiceBoyTV.com Nissan 240sx
This event happens because Dromo 1 is excited to see Formula Drift return to the Streets of Long Beach. The season opens April 11, and more information is available at www.formuladrift.com.
