I sure as hell hope he isn't copying OSX with windows vista...OS X suuuuxxxx. I have to use it every day on school and work computers.
I didn't see much likeness to OS X when I played with the beta on my laptop, but I had a video card failure awhile back so I didn't get much time to use it.

mac right now is better than pc because of the os it runs on. it rarely has virus's because most viruses are exe. files or which macs dont have or would comprehend the virus. when windows vista comes out it will be better than a mac because its written on a similar platform as the os in the mac so viruses will be hard to get for a while until people start writing them. as for speed and performance there about the same once leopard and vista come out they'll be running on a 64bit processor and intel already makes chips for mac. macs now are interchangeable you can run both os's on it but i dont know how because i dont have a intel powered mac.
alright to break it down then if your going to do graphic stuff, video editing, and dont like getting viruses from downloading all those movies, music and games get a mac. if all you want to do is play games get pc.
50/50...mac people love debates on how mac vs. pc run...as well as pc people find it easier to do html's/action scripts, etc. on pc than on a mac...
either way, it's what you are comfortable with...
At home, I'm based on an IBM computer, and at work I'm floatin' on a G5...multi-task is always required in any job-site...depending on what you do.
But don't get me wrong Ej...I also agree with your point-of-view.
