Differential Installation in the Bay Area

Hey guys. I dont have a rx7, but I was wondering if any of you guys can recommend a place to install a new differential preferably in the san jose area. I am not talking about replacing the entire pumpkin, but the actual differential. Thanks again guys.

What work do you want done to it?

I have used SF Differential with great success. Pete's Gear Shop is good as well.

I need to have the pumpkin removed from the car and opened. The stock torsen lsd needs to be removed and will be replaced with the TRD unit that I purchased.

<---Also looking for a place as well to install my GURU torsen diff into a FWD transmission on my mx6.

Gnx7, did you have them replace the entire thing on the car or just the diff? Also do you know how much they charge? Thanks =)

I brought SF Differential the pumpkin out of the car and removed the stock stub axles, Torsen, and ring gear in my garage (FD). It was easy to remove the inner parts without any instructions. I gave them the pumpkin and new LSD where he simply had to bolt up the old ring gear, install the LSD and set the lash on the gears. The guy is in his late 50's and has been doing rear axle work for probably 25 years. His name is John.

SF Differential then installed an S4 Turbo 2 LSD (clutch pack style). $175 if memory serves me right. I installed the stub axles and bolted up the rear cover with new fluid and slapped it back in.
