Damn i dont even know him and it's upsetting all the way across the country. May your soul be blessed dave. On a side note, the first two pages of this thread seem to me, to be verry Ironic to the tragedy that occured yesterday (east coast time). Especially post #25, really did it. My prayers go out.
When My father in law passed away un-expectedly the most comforting thing for us was the outpouring of affection from the community. He was a well known man in Oklahoma City. Not rich or powerful but well known and liked do to his very helpful and friendly nature. It seemed that almost 1000 people showed up to the funeral
Dave was the same way. I only met him at 7 stock but He was perfectly content to hang with me as long as I wanted him to do so.
I think the best thing we could do would be to go to the Funeral. His family will receive a final memory of their loved one as one that was liked and respected by his Peers.
As a Father of four.....God forbid something like this happen to one of mine, but if it did.....I could take comfort in the fact that My son or daughter was respected and successful in whatever path they chose to take in life.
We should all go to the funeral. Those that are local should go. You don't have to do anything or speak to anyone or even cry.....just being there would comfort the grieving family as much as one could.
Fris, Mike, Lil red, you guys find out when this is going to happen and....MAKE IT HAPPEN for Dave.
I'll go, I'll even dress nice.
*Holds back tears*
