Which one? The Falcon FD From Formula D? The one built by FC3S.org? They have like 4 FD's and 3 S14's.

I showed up to the Feb event Sunday around noon and there were about 3-4 people in front of me buying tickets. I missed the time trials but still had plenty of time to walk around, buy some stuff, and watch the riots before the competition started.

Anyone need a ride up from SD? I'm going to meet Brandon and Natalia on SATURDAY around 10ish in Escondido. I'm taking my 3 so I have room for 1-2 more.

 

This will be the first D1 I have missed, sadly... But Kan is coming on the 17th & 18th to the Bay Area and my FD needs tuning. At least im missing it for a good reason.

Are you sure it was that exact one, cause Team Falcon has like 3 fd's, The RHD one is sporting an SR20.

 

as far as i know falken has 2 fd's one of which is the speedmachine built one with the rotary in it and the other is the sr20 powered one. thre was an article on them. let me see if i can find it.

the article was in modified mag last month. the title of it was "fraternal twins"

either way modified doesnt post their articles on the web so i couldt post a link to it. either way there are only 2 of them and tony drives the rotary powered FD

 

I've seen them both<pic's> back when they were being built. Plus i went up close in the pits and loked at the kar. And there is no mistake to what a rotary sounds like I love it.

 

dude falkens rotary FD is ridiculously loud. oh and the smell of race fuel when they tart that baby up. mmmmm

 

yeah it is. did they change the exaust. I saw the tailpipe going into the air. did it always have that.

 

last i saw it which was 2 days ago its still had the side exit exhaust

 

i'll be going also both days. slight chance my FC project would be done by then so i'll prolly roll in my brother's AE86

 

IF I go. I probobly won't take my FC. one trip to LA and back is all it can take a year.

I'll probobly come in my friends Seinna, BMW, 300ZX, or 3000GT...who knows...it'll be a suprise!!!

Falken has 2 FD's, Seigo Yamamoto's that has an SR20, and ours. Tony Angelo drove the car all year, but Calvin Wan is now driving it. He drove it a bit at XDL to change the cars suspension to his liking, and we will be practicing more in it prior to D1 to finalize the settings. Calvin will be driving it at D1. The exhaust is new since XDL...it is sick I cut off the bent up Blitz muffler and tossed it. I welded on 3" pipe to replace it, and cut and angled it at the tip. It's even louder now

yeah that's kool, some things looked different and sounded different too. So is Tony not a driver for falken any more? And what about the G35? so I guess I'll have to see and find out.

 

I'm going to be there on Saturday. I wasn't sure if I felt like going this time around, but a friend of mine is doing a JustDrift event up in Willow Springs on Sunday, so I figure I'll just head up there for D1, stay over in the area, and then watch the JD runs the next day.

Did you guys know the 2006 Amemiya car is going to be there? There will also be quite a few more FD's running than there were last year in the D1, I'm looking forward to it!
