Unhappy Coolant Seal Failure! HIGH 5!!!

Thank you previous owner for selling me a car..you overheated to death. Exact reactions.

New motor...or selling the car

I really want to get a new motor but the fact that this can happen again.. just makes me want to face the facts that this is too much to afford.

I have owned this car since Oct...and have only dealt with one thing after another & have still...yet to really enjoy myself & have everything be perfect for 5 min.

If there was a suicide smilie....insert here.

Lucky 7's price was higher than I was previously quoted from 2 companies.

You get what you pay for in life. If you want something that has a better chance of being reliable and lasting for you.. go through Lucky 7. I don't know the other companies you received quotes from but there's only two people I'd trust to rebuild one of my motors and Fris is one of them.

Lucky 7. there prices are actually alot cheaper then most shops. and the work there is great..

was there price due to the fact that they have to take your motor out, tear it down, open, clean it, port it, rebuild it(the kit alone cost roughly $1200), put all back together, drop it back in your car. get it running.??

and why do you want 3mm apex seals? theres no need more. thats just pointless and expensive... unless your building a full time track car.. and have lots of money...

just get super seals(2mm) and youll be fine, thats what im using, and my fd is gonna be making over 450hp...

I suppose. I planned on getting a daily driver & making my car full time attack but..eh who knows. But yea.. if someone wants it for 8K... its sold. Otherwise...plotting options. And where-ever I'd go.. I'd be bringing them my motor. Not the whole car.

Under 56k original miles. Its ridiculous. No overheating when I drive it... however excessive white smoke on start up that smells of coolant and for a little after driving it. WOT shifts past 5K (3rd gear & past) white smoke. Water/Coolant on plugs as well.

I'm shocked. Lucky7's rebuild was about $300 bucks cheaper with brand new oil lines, silicone vacuum lines, and a streetport than I was quoted from another prominent shop for the basic package.

I don't know. I'm really torn. Lucky 7 or selling the car. However the only car I'd buy would be a Genesis Coupe that I can't afford.
