haha. yikes. why do people spend so much money to make their cars look like ***? i dont get it.

its a 98-99 engine. atleast its smog legal. and wtf is up with that oil cap. that is bad news bears...

Doubtful, if it has a turbo kit as stated by a previous poster, definitely not. The intake system isn't factory, I betcha he doesn't have cats either.

Then there's the part about getting it approved by the CA state ref. Just because it's a newer engine doesn't make it smog legal.

well, i just assumed so, because he kept the stock exhaust manifolds and all the smog equipment (in the engine bay wise) is there...

you can see the EGR coming off the manifolds, and the air pump pumping exhaust into the top of the intake manifold.

true, I looked closer at the engine pic. Looks like stock manifolds, but if he's running the rear mount turbo kit it seems pointless to leave the rest of the engine stock.

Unless those kits are smog legal? I don't think they are but maybe they got approved.
