Classic insurance and emissions questions
So, after doing a good amount of research, i have came to the conclusion that the best way for me to insure a 7 in arizona is to have classic car insurance so i dont have to get it emissions tested.
Ive talked to a company that is partnered with my current DD insurance company (USAA) , and i was told i need 5 years experience driving with my license (I am currently at about 3 1/2 years) before i can get a policy with them.
Im wondering if anyone knows of another company possibly that will insure someone without the 5 years experience?
Also, i will be looking at lightly modded T2's, and was wondering if it would pass az emissions with say an aftermarket turbo, boost turned down and a large cat?
I have tried to search, but cant find much info pertaining to Az specifically.

dont know about AZ but in CA, it doesnt matter what type of insurance you have, if its post-75, you are screwed, smog test every 2 years.
On the other hand, classic insurance is cool. Each of my RX-3 is insured with hagerty for $300/yr, $20M full coverage but I'm limited to 2500 miles per year. But who is checking, my odometer does not work and I have 2 DDs

Yeah, in AZ, if you carry classic/collector car insurance and the car is over 15 years old, you are exempt from emissions. Just Google "collector car insurance" and there are many companies. You just fill out an online form, pay your premium (mine is under $100 per year), and your set. I'm with J.C. Taylor Antique Auto Insurance for my '85 rx7. There is a yearly mileage limit and the car must be kept in a garage, but there is no way for them to check.
Check out www.hagerty.com. That is who I have my FD's insured with.
