CHP looking for RX7

Well, I'm watching the news right now, and apparently a black RX7 fled the scene of a street race gone wrong on del paso heights.

I don't wanna start pointing fingers, but apparently they're looking for a black RX7 with an owner that goes by the name "Matt." Racing what looks like a Mazda 6. Well the Mazda 6 ended up crashing into a Chevy and killed the driver of the Chevy.

People be careful out there, a race isn't worth your life or anyone elses.

second that.

i never race on the streets, i hardly race on the open road. a few moments of thrill is not worth spending in jail and ruining a families lives or losing your own. race where it is sanctioned, or at the very least where it is semi-safe.

didn't specify, all that was specified was that it was black.
what makes you think it's a 2nd gen?

Either way, the guy who ran isn't what we would call a part of the community if he's doing stupid **** like that and than running. I mean, this accident was in broad day light.

It's pretty sad when stuff like this has to happen before people consider the real danger of street racing. I hope the guilty parties are found and prosecuted.

it is usually kids who do it and who also think they are oblivious to harm.

i'm sure his conscious is eating him up right now, if it isn't then he shouldn't be given the right to keep breathing.

They probably are already knocking on the kids door. It shouldn't of been to hard to come up with a list of black FC's or FD's in the town. They even have a possible name of the kid.

I honestly can say that this is a situation where he should lose his car to the crusher.

Heh, good thing I'm not from the area... Black FC, but then... I'm not Matt... but no doubt they'd be at my door asking questions anyway heh.

I think they should give me his car, I'll make sure no one does any stupid street drag racing bullshit with it.

If you read the article, it says the driver of the RX7 turned himself in already. It's unreal the number of adults who take paertin this sort of thing. I know of another group who races on the freeways, these are adults with big dollar cars. Think about this incident the next time you get invited to a "canyon run" I'll bet more of you than would care to admit have participated from time to time. Keep it on the track, with events nearly every weekend at the road race venues, and drag racing two or three times a week, there is just no excuse. If you doubt it's that prevelant, go to the "kills section" of any forum, dozens of owners doing it every day. This is why my wife drives a landcruiser with large spikes on the bumper Carl

The article was just updated to include the guy turning himself in......
It originally had it listed as being on the run.

yeah for real... I can't believe that happen to the kid tho..William, also go by Billy.... He was tryin' to tell me that his car was overheating and the clutch is slipping and needed my help... Hopefully he wasn't racing in his FD... I even told him to be careful with these cars, because he doesn't know jack shiet about them.

I have a feeling the black RX7 driver was an FC. Because the only person that drives a black FD in Sacramento area is a white chick...

I thought that Nghtstlkr7 had a black FD as well? I'm not sure if he moved yet or not though. Either way, this **** shouldn't happen on the streets. Carl was right when he said that there are more than enough chances to race in sanctioned events every week!

Since school got out, a lot of retarded kids with way too much to prove have been out on the streets on weekdays. I'm kinda glad that I'm not driving my modified car around right now, I'd probably get picked up since the cops are cracking down.
