Can my friend fit in a miata?
Can my friend fit in a miata?
He's 6 foot and 250 pounds but not reidculously enormous.
Can he fit in a miata, like headroom, shoulder room, and what would be the overall comfort? And would the top of the windshield be in his line of vision?
If anyone in torrance has got one PM me thanks.

I'm 6' 280 and I fit in my girlfriend's NA6 fine. I can even flog it around without problem. Thanks to the RX7 I've had to learn how to sidefoot-and-toe instead of heel-and-toe shift, so that was easily over come. I have longer legs than most, so the wheel sits in between my knees more than I would like.
I can definitely do nothing but drive the car while the door is closed (no reaching into the passenger foot well at a stoplight, messing with your shoe, heaven help me if something falls at my feet while driving...) but it helps hold me in place while zipping around. Lower seat and smaller steering wheel would make it perfect.
As far as vision, If I'm first at a stoplight, You would have to really lean down to see the main lamp. I have to look at the lower side mounted ones. apparently most people remove the sun visors for some more visibility (the ones on my G/Fs were removed). looking forward at traffic is not inhibited however. side to side and rearward are normal for a convertible. No real blind spot to speak of since you're already sitting on the rear bumper (lawls).
All in all, I'm looking to get my own to make a track ****, so I can keep my 'vert a weekend cruiser. After I drove one, I was in love with the insane sense of immediacy and insane grip. Supposedly good suspension ans tires gets you to 1g real quick, and I believe it.

I just picked up a miata (90). I'm a fairly big guy (5'10" 260lb) and there are things you can do that would help make the car more spacious. (i'm in the process of doing them all). I removed the door handle to be replaced with a strap door handle, I removed a spacer to shift the steering wheel up about 1/2 ", I shimed the parking brake handle a bit. I also just ordered a 320mm momo steering wheel which would help even more. You can even lower/get new seat to get a bit more hand room too.

now miata's im not sure but i hope he would fit in one.
