Okay, I been looking for an FD that's within my price range and finally found one. But it's still registered out of state because the owner just recently moved to CA. It has all smog equipment on the car. But the label under the hood says the car cannot be operated or sold in CA. I'm assuming it's not possible to reg and smog the car in CA?

Yeah even though it doesn't meet CA emissions. It can still be bought and registered in CA as long as the vehicle has more then 7500 miles.

Yes it's the dealer that can't sell it here, once it belongs to a private person and said miles are on the clock, it just has to pass smog, for out of state vehicles, brought into CA.

Good luck with keeping that thing operating legally...
