What years were / are his cars??
When i lived in Wrightwood (6000 ft) i still had to smog my cars....damn how high did i need to go ???
if that were really true than alot of people would be moving to the mountain areas

 

I can confirm it, my dad lived in julian before he passed and he told me that he was smog exempt there...
