Umm...., you do realize you have to drive by Lyngso (a quarry company) just to get there, guaranteed to be thousands of road pebbles getting there from any direction...

thats how i got the 50 plus chips to the nose in my 93 fd stock red paint, driving bye there at 15-20mph.....

If you MUST go there, find the back way, off of Veterans BLVD, you avoid atleast some of these pebbles.....

I dunno, perhaps it was pebbles thrown up by the other cars...all i know is i hit a 'patch' of this gravel, i heard what sounded like a sandstorm hitting my car, pulled out, looked at the front, and had tons of little pin-***** size chips.... and yes, those pepples are ALWAYS there....they range from the size of sand up the size of small rocks and the road there is always covered by them, I know - my ex used to work right around the corner, and i had no choice to go through it if I needed to drop by her work....

I was so pissed, I even considered getting a lawyer and pursuing damages caused by this companies slopiness, but, I've heard in California, the law doesnt usually support lawsuits pertaining to non-mechanical/non-dangerous damages caused by debris from construction and landscaping companies - just another way you get it stuck to you for driving on our very shitty california road system....

And the fact that 93 red is notorious for its bad quality, and the paint being over ten years old, I'd figure it wouldnt be worth my time pursueing it....

All in all though, I'm just trying to help you guys avoid getting your paint damaged - no ulterior motives here.....

Thanks for the info. It's a little late to reorganize now, but maybe we'll hit up Le Mans next time.
