AZ smog test

I have a street port 13, factory chip, air intake, RB header, exhaust, high flow cat and a pulley.

Do you think I will pass with this done to my car? I bought it in NJ

Sorry, just looked at your profile and it says 1989 RX. I can give you some pointers that may help you pass, but AZ is about to pass a law in the near future that would exempt cars that are 15 years and older and NOT daily driven from emissions testing if you can show that you have classic car insurance. This approach (classic car insurance) usually has yearly mileage restrictions (~5K per year), but if you have another daily driver it could be a way around emissions, which is oftentimes difficult to pass here in AZ!

The only problem with this is good luck finding a company that will give you classic car insurance for any rx7. Not saying its impossible, but I am sure not easy.

My 89 passed. NA and all stock with a half blown engine. Rigged the air pump to run constant and used a gallon of denatured alcohol. Passed with alot of room to spare. First time it failed misserably.

Tom... several out there are doing it already. Riz has his switched over and I'm about to move mine! I'll email you the info. Won't help you this time, but next time around you should be home free!

Emissions on an NA should be easy as long as your port isn't huge.

My NA with a new cat passed easily.
If you make the ACV pump straight to the cat constantly you should pass.

If it still doesn't pass then go the alcohol route.
I think I used around a 1/2-1gallon when I went through on a 1/4 tank of gas.
