Awesome RX-7 Seller on Craigslist!
I asked some simple questions (asked for better photos, a mod list, and why he isn't smogging the car) and I get an absurd response like this. It's people like this that make me glad I stopped participating in meets and such.
It says right in the friggin ad that he's not going to smog the car. Just because it was smogged months ago doesn't mean he doesn't have the legal responsibility to smog the car.
With an attitude like this, who the hell would buy it?

I should have known better to even respond to such a poorly written ad.
I guess I shouldn't expect much from an AOL user. I guess that stereotype hasn't improved in the last ten years.

Heh, I know that guy...
I was nice and helped him out with his FC a few months ago, sold him my Kaminari wing for cheap and helped him install it the same night. Gave him my spare S4 turbo that I ported the wastegate on so he didn't have to pull and port his out and he turned around and put it on ebay for over $150...
If I remember correctly he lives out in stockton or something like that, not sacramento.
That FC will not pass smog, at least it wouldn't the last time I saw the engine bay.
Most if not all of the 10th AE specific peices are gone from it, definately not worth the $3,000 he's asking for it.
After him owning it I wouldn't doubt it needs a new engine and turbo if not alot of other parts. He told me it would cut out at a certain point when boosting and no matter how hard he tried to force it past it would still cut out...He had a boost controller on it I believe...So I garuntee it's got some broken internals from boost cut kicking in 90% of the time it's been driven...
He's a little asian guy who uses excuses like "he's about to be kicked out of his house so he can't afford to pay so much money"..."he's got 2 kids and can't afford to spend alot"...blah blah blah
He is more of a window shopper than anybody i've met, called and emailed me a number of times before he would even buy something. He wanted my mazdaspeed hoodscoop for like $50 or something like that and his girl was going to buy it for him cause he couldn't afford it the last time I talked to him...
It's a little jumbled together but I think you all got what I was trying to say for the most part haha.
Just started typing the things that came to mind first about that guy.
I'll see if I can get leftcoastdrifter to chime in here about the guy, he was over at my shop one night when that guy and his buddy came over. His buddy was on CRACK + ADD, talking 200 miles an hour and scurring all over the place and trying to show off his new convertable FC he just bought and how it has a T2 engine in it but is using S4 n/a intake manifolds and all this crap...

It has an aftermarket backseat? Can anyone link me or show pics of an aftermarket backseat on their FC? I never knew anyone made one for any of the 7's outside of Mazda.
Also, this rotary owner cannot spell "rotary" correctly. Roatary. I wouldn't buy it based solely on that, no joke.

Just curious about your FC. You say it has mods... can you list them. And the mileage is the original mileage on both car and chassis?
Does the car have a clean title?
What trades are you looking for if not a Geo?
