Wish i could join the caravan but i got to be there early, help set up and shiz, make sure everything is good at rotary extreme. haha. I'm glad a lot of people are gonna be at the meet though! Freaking awesome!

 

guess it depends on if my car is finished by then, it should only take a few days to do the overhaul on it so long as i can get the rest of these done before then.

There are many reasons why I want to close or sell the business. Ever since I started running this business in Fremont, I have been working at least 12 hrs a day. I have liver problem due to stress and lack of sleep. My health condition was a lot worse than before. My girllfriend of 5 years is not happy that I don't have any free time to spend with her. My favorite black RX7 which I bought brand new in 94 hasn't been running for 2 years because I am too busy running the business and working on customers' cars that I can't finish my own. I also have a better business opportunity coming up that I will be able to work less, have more free time, and maybe make more money.

Yes, slow business is one of them but not the only reason why I am quitting. Myself or my company is not in financial trouble as what Jon was indicating. The winter time was pretty slow that we were losing a couple of thousand a month but not enough to put the company or myself in debt.

So what's going to happen to Rotary Extreme? I prefer to transfer the business to my friend/mechanic Sonny. I have known him for a couple of years and he has been working for me for about a year that I think he has learned enough to run the business. If he does take over the business, he is going to merge with his friend's shop in San Jose. I will give him all my connections so nothing is going to change after the transfer of ownership and I hope everyone will continue to support Rotary Extreme.

If Sonny does not take over, I might be able to run it as a part time business at home. I started this business as a home based business anyway so running part time from home will not be a problem if I have time to run it part time, of course.

I hope everyone will have a good time at the meet. Maybe I will be giving away some free stuff just for the heck of it. Maybe we can have a car show contest if you guys want. Just give me some suggestions.

Yes, I do have to clean out some of those office and shop equipments such as 80 gallon air compressor, racks, desk, chairs, computer, monitor, etc. If you are interested in any of those items, please come down to the shop and check them out in person.

Sorry i havent been by the shop recently, my 8 was in an accident and i drive a rental hyundai at the moment. Anyways, i just want to say thank you and sorry for that info. Also, sorry to hear/read about the liver problem and everything and its understandable that you're closing down the shop. I know everythigs gonna get better for you once you get more time, sleep and everything so yeah, i'll see you next week and we'll chat. Later chuck
