Hey guys, I'm also down in the Temecula area though I'm a little bit more removed towards the 91 in Elsinore.


Ortega closes for construction at 8pm (ONLY IN THE MIDDLE AREA) there are a few nice roads to explore back in that area. The North divide is real twisty but holy-****-cliff.

Do either of you Temecula guys visit the In-n-Outs on their respective nights? Even if you spurn those ricecake-fests, we should meet up some time.

 

Dude, we're driving rotary, we'll park wherever our cars happen to break down on the way there.

 

We're gonna turn into stylish guardrails keeping the bikers from falling down the mountain.

 

I have been known to show my face at In-n-Out every now and then. I drive a slow car, so I leave early.

We used to have a friday night thing goin, but now it is more like every third friday night.

We are gonna be meeting in Temecula before driving to Julian. You should join us there.

Sure. There are 2 different in-n-outs to check. They go back and forth cuz they are in 2 different cities. When one gets hot, move to the other one.

I definitely want to go on the Pie run, I went to Palomar Mtn. Road with a couple friends (most likely the same IS300 someone mentioned earlier) and when police showed up at the bottom, a Hachi and I went along the back almost all the way to the three way stop where you go right to go to Julian.

Great road, though I was really concerned about tree run of from a thick overhead fog. But this time of year it should be fine.If you're in Temecula, Rainbow canyon is a rather fun little place for a short spirited drive.

Although if you were to call Ortega this area's Akina, then the Akagi is Glendora Mountain Road. Road goes up, road goes down, little else. Lame references to Initial D, but eh.

If you go tomorrow, look for a black R1 with a.....dent in the back.

Ortega SUCKS!!!!! Too many cops, too many idiot drivers, too much traffic, horrible paving

GMR - same as ortega . . . unsafe and not that fun.
People who live in a concrete jungle like those roads cuz they are the only roads they know without a stop sign every 1/4 mile.

Rainbow on the other hand is GREAT. No traffic, good smooth road, and it ends in to Couser canyon . . .another great road.


If you are not too familiar with the roads out here. . . let me know, I will show you around a little. There are several really nice little cruises in this area.

Not to strike my colors as the Jolly Roger or anything, but I've been on the Ortega at least every third night for the past year and have never had sight nor sound of Cops. Especially the N/S divide.

But, I'll bow to greater experience, there's no point in arguing who goes on what road, or what goes on on what road.


I haven't added myself to the list, because I don't know if I'll still be on four wheels at that point, let alone rotary powered ones.
