after i wiped them clean they looked ok but not like new or anything there was a little carbon not much though and yes i pulled the fuse cranked for 15 stopped cranked again stopped cranked again stopped put plugs in made sure wires were right and cracked but then i smelled gas so i stopped
if you smell gas that means your motor is flooded
so keep going at it a few more times, gotta get all the gas out of the chambers,
its gonna smell like gas till it starts, if its flooded

the plugs were dry when i put them in so do i have to continue cranking now that they are in until it starts? i heard its bad to crank for longer then 15secs on cars
Well you have to make sure that you clear out the fuel then put back the plugs. If you do the deflood and then replace the plugs and they are wet with fuel then either it flooded again or you didn't completely deflood it. As for the starter thing, its not that bad but it does wear them down.
