But if you want two seperate maps, you'll need a datalogit of your own to change them, and you'll have to pay the $150/h rate.
At least that is my understanding.

So.... he can tune for race gas without race gas???

It wouldn't be fair for me to pay $350 and get 3 tunes and everyone else only gets 1. So the $150/h rate makes that possible.
No, he can't tune for racefuel without racefuel. Basically, you'd do pump up to your desired boost level. Then, you'd drain your tank completely.. and run the pump so it dumps all the old 91 octane out. Then load in X amount of gallons of Race fuel (you'd probably figure a minimum of 10 gallons to be safe). Then get back on the dyno/road and run the tune under the higher boost levels. Then, use your boost controller to limit your boost for pump, and when you want to up the boost.. make sure you have a tank of race fuel and up the boost controller.

Actually I heard that doesn't work so well with the Power FC when you tune for two different octanes on one map. The reason being is that the map will get "confused" between the lower and higher areas of boost causing you to run too rich or too lean.

I'm not the best at tuning(and have no experience with racefuel.) but... if u have c16 in and you tune it off the pump map wouldn't you be very rich while building boost because it will use the racefuel like pumpgas at the areas below your high boost settings? so wouldn't I be making less then max hp? From my understanding, with racefuel you need to tune the entire map again.

Yeah I am on the list for STeve's tune here at the end of the month. I just have to get the KAI and the T2 diff installed and done before he gets here =./

My brother took his car to XS and they tuned it after they tried to BS the both of us for about an hour with "what it needed". The car made 340 rwhp...and then grenaded about 6 months later.
I fixed the engine and Steve tuned it. The car made 360 rwhp plus but the clutch was slipping so there was more in it. Steve even riched the A/F's and the car has been working just fine.
Stay away from the Mickey Mouse shop and let Steve do it.

The reason XS doesn't let you watch is all cause of liability... esp in California... people will sue over a stubbed toe that they got in your shop... lol.
