I'm going to be in North Island next week for the entire week and I'm going to do some shore/pier fishing while there. Was wondering if any does any fishing, specially over at a NASNI pier that could share some tips for this spot.

 

fishing has been pretty bad around here (warm water never came up last summer) as far as offshore is concerned. pier, i'm not sure...worth trying though, as long as you have some cold beer

 

Wish I could take a boat out but I'll be in 15 min call for 24 hours a day. So I can't venture too far. Last summer I had some awesome fishing off shore there.
