Aight Beligerants, I need your help

WTF, I am confused with this one. I listed my vert on Ebay. It didn't sell. Verts that are in worse shape got all kinds of bids yet mine go only one....and then the guy wanted to retract it even though it was below the reserve.

Here is the thread on the west section
https://www.rx7club.com/a-149/1989-vert-f-s-socal-%244000-551324/

Here is the Ebay listing
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...SUAA%3AUS%3A31

Could you guys shed some light here?? The other Verts are auto......some with no story whatsoever and they even claim that it has "Starting problems" in the Ebay add.

I am at a loss as to why a truely good running Vert goes un-noticed.

$$$$$$$. Remember, parts are available at the junkyards. So they would rather find the cheapest one.

maybe it's because you put a reserve on it.

I thought of that. I am only comparing mine to other AutoTranny's. I see your point however.

OK, but how do I protect agains "giving" the car away?? Hell, I'll strip that bitch before I take less than $2500 for it. Hell the Motor alone has $800+ in Mazda parts, I got the Mazdatrix reciept.

This is why it didn't sell:

Driveline needs balancing, and rear seal leaking... both things that the average shade tree mechanic can't do... so no one wants it.

They either want a true fixer upper, or a perfect running car.

and you have way way way way too much description in there.

Short, sweet, all you need... not how you drive 600 miles a week!

And I'd probably lower the reserve as well. In worst case get a buddy to bid it up, if it looks like it is gonna sell too low.

Since when did you become a beligerant

Anyway, i tried to be honest and list "the only" things wrong with it. You are probably right however, most the other adds are "buy this" along with "happy bidding"

what the hell is "Drogggass"

And besides, you get a stock exhaust system along with this car that has good Cats. YOu know what that is worth by itself. How many threads per month do you see some desparate guy looking for stock cats for a weekend so they can get smogged?? Hell you could rent it out and have the $500 back in about three weeks!!!!

Icemark, ******* isn't really the descriptor for you. far from it IMO

Ok, you talked me into it. I'll give you $1750 plus gas money to drive it up to me in NorCal.

I honestly think that you had too much description in the add. And as much as I REALLY hate to admit it, cool as crap has a good idea about the "drifter car" comments in the ad. Just don't tell us about it because we'll all kick your *** if you do that. Good luck with the sale bro.

Searches are based on titles, add more words to the title.. like: rx-7 rx7 FC FC3S Rotary

Just add some good keywords in the title...I would just replace the rear seal on the tranny since its a 10 min job and seal only cost like 20$.

Tell them that it includes stock exhuast and that you will have smog done for the transaction (Seller is required by CA Law anyways).

Other then that, good luck.
