94 LS1 FD w/ wiring issues *running* Need help!!!

Just curious if anyone is familiar with wiring on both of these cars and is able to assess why I keep blowing a 40 amp fuse... I have tried to trace the wires back and all but Im just not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to wiring, especially when Im out of my element in an import! . I will pay someone if they can come fix the issues, it almost could be something very simple like grounds and what-not. Call me on my cell since I dont come on a ton--- thanks!

The 40a fuse goes to the alternator, check to make sure your alternator charging wire isn't touching a ground somewhere.

Alright, well new issue--- I took it to a wiring shop and now the vehicle has no spark and they are unable to assess the blown fuse due to NO spark.... sigh... I just want to pay someone to deal with this problem, I can do it all but wiring is not my cup of tea- So if anyone is in the OC area and will fix the problem/rewire this ls1 into the car, I will pay you well.

How well will you pay? Your spark issue is probably because you didnt wire a 12v to your coil packs. My ls1 fc needed one wire for each side wired into the coil packs (12v) after that I had spark on each side. My friend's ls1 fd already had spark, but he had his harness completely torn apart and redone by hinson, so they might have already wired it in somewhere else down the harness, and we rewired my ls1 harness by ourselves. That should be the problem for your spark issue.

See, there wouldnt be any issues had I done this myself... I bought this as a complete running car supposedly ready to roll and the guy is just a shady ***. So now Im dealing with the post purchase issues and I have no idea how the hell the guy did anything, nor have I ever seen something aside from my standard 98-02 F body/97-04 vette harnesses/splices. I will pay you well... we can figure out a price before you do any work and we will both be happy. So long as my problems get fixed, I have no issues forkin out some cash to the right person.

Actually if you really want your problem solved have danzan149 on torquecentral look at your car. He has a ls1 fd as well and he rewires ls1 harnesses to interface with the rx7, he is also an electrician so he has all the bases covered. He is in the OC as well just pm him and ask him to look over your car, he's a real nice guy!
