RX for fun

Last Saturday was the first and the only time that the midnite blue RX-3 got a full tank of gas. usually, its 1/2 tank to save weight. Bad thing on an old school is that there is no slosh shield in the tank and the filler neck. That combined with a deteriorated gas cap gasket (still original cap) = loss of fuel every sharp right turn. I still smoke a cig the whole time.
I guess its time to continue with my original plan...switch to FB gas filler neck. Believe me, it fits except I just need to add an extra port to attach the gas tank breather.

Next year I need to get there earlier. Almost didn't make it; arrived maybe 5 minutes before everyone started off.
Woke up Sat morning to find that the recent cold nights had killed my 7-year-old Costco battery flat; was at 9.3v, even though it sits in the car disconnected when I'm not driving it. Couple hours on my weak-sauce charger almost-but-not-quite gave it enough to start.
Ended up jumping it from the other car.
I hate jump-starting.
