ok guys im doing it, putting a sbc in my fc vert . I love the rotary i would love to put a RE stand alone with a gt45 "like my last car dam EX gf talking me into selling it". I got the car for 100 from a good friend, im getting the sbc out of a dirt track car, the power out put is about 415hp and 490tq. I know i can get the mounts from granny's speed shop but im a poor collage kid lol, has anyone ever made there own mounts or cradle or has any one that has done the swap im worried about the front springs does anyone know where i can get stronger ones. I think that it will be a fun car wont handle to great but go like a bat out of hell lmao

 

"Poor college kids" shouldn't do engine swaps. The time and money needed will eat you up, and then you end up with a car that will get impounded the first time you pass a cop.

Why don't you just buy a fox body Mustang for cheaper? They already have all the hop up parts too, and you won't need to modify the front suspension.

 

foxes aren't as cheap as they use to be. At least good ones.

 

no they are not that cheep any more, My brother is a cop so all the pd in my area know me and just let me roll by lol. This is not my first swap nor my first rx7. Thanks for the worry I should also put that this car is not going to be my daily Ive got a Saturn for that lol.
