NY 3 rotor comin to So-Cal

Hey guys! Names Nick. I currently live in Upstate NY. Have a 3rd gen Rx7 with a 20b swap and a 6 port bridgeport project im currently putting together. Im moving to Glendale in a few months and am looking to familiarize myself with the area/tuning scene and meet some new people so its not as big of a transition when I get out there. Plan on leaving my FD registered in NY as I hear yall have some nasty smogging/emissions rules out there! Looking forward to meeting new people, sunny weather and rust free rides!

good thinking with the NY registration, i live in San Diego, and i would never register my car in cali, i leave it registered in my home state of Ohio, where im pretty sure you could register a spaceship there haha...theres no inspection or smog at all. good luck with the trip!

Best not change your DL over, either... as if they pull you over with a Cali DL but NY plates on a car registered in your name, you'll have some 'splainin' to do. Could probably talk your way out of it once, but after that, they'll know you.

Good luck with the move, and pre-welcome.

Pretty psyched about not having to pay a boatload in shipping my parts anymore and being able to actually go to some quality tracks/events.

So I hear Glendale cops dont like loud cars.. It was like that around here when I was younger until crime got progressively worse and cops actually had something to do instead of write loud exhaust tickets. I dont drive like a dick so I'm hoping they will leave me alone. I will only be staying in Glendale for my first year or so. Im looking for a storage rental place.. doesnt have to be right in Glendale, Im willing to travel to save money,(I dont wanna sell my rotary parts collection/ and my tools) Any recommendations? Also what do you guys do for fun aside meet up? Anyone go to the track? Roadtrips? wild ****? I like to have fun so I hope you guys are ready lol.

As far as driving in glendale, make sure you have a quiet exhaust system with a non flashy muffler. They are also **** about no front license plates as well. I try to avoid driving in glendale at all cost with my rx7. lol

then get a truck and trailer, you will need it where you're going to actually roll the car around.

Im going to get a silencer and just drive normal(not a problem for me) I wont be in Glendale forever. If i stay low key with my out of state plates I cant imagine they will go out of their way to harass me if I dont give them any reason to.
