CA 1980 EGR System Vacuum - Help!

Hello everyone, I have a 1980 RX7 which I rescued from a dismantler and have been working to get it roadworthy for the past couple of months. I have gotten it to the point where I am preparing to have it smogged. One issue I have run into is that the EGR solenoid was broken and the hard lines were capped. I found a spare solenoid (I believe all of the solenoids in the rats nest are the same, aside from the little colored dot on top of them) and reconnected the vacuum lines, but that is where I hit a roadblock:

I can't figure out where the vacuum line from the solenoid is supposed to connect to the carburetor!

According to various vacuum diagrams, this carburetor should have an extra opening right above the throttle valve, but I do not see one. Unfortunately, there is little to no information about this out there - being a one-year-only and a one-state-only issue. Even Mazdatrix didn't have an answer for me...

My question is: are the 1980 carburetors different for California cars than other 1980 cars, and I ended up with another SA carb? The best way to know the answer is probably just to see someone else's stock 1980 from California

Side note, how difficult is it to smog an SA with the stock thermal reactor?

This is the line that is missing. There does not appear to be a connection on the carburetor there
