o yeah, i'm sorry we are not rich like you mazpower
and im sorry that we love canyons like every other car owners do.
there isnt anything wrong with going to canyons in rx7's and
especially how we do it. Are you trying to say canyons are for Japanese in Japan only??? if so, why do we have rx7's like they do??? shouldn't fc's and fd's stayed
only in Japan then?

stop ur nonsense, considering i haven't seen u checking out the meet in yourself.
see it before you spray it
I'm far from rich, bro. My FC was a pile of **** when I got it, completely falling apart, and I drove it like that as my daily driver for some time. It got all of my attention and money, and became something nice over time. Everything on that car, with the exception of the paint job and tire changes, were done by me. I was fortunate to be able to trade it for the FD I own now.

There's nothing wrong with canyons. And there's nothing wrong with owning a car that has more done to it mechanically, than apperance. But if you're gonna post pictures of a dented-up car, you're gonna get critiqued. And if that post has multiple mentions of "JDM" and canyon running, then that's rice. As far as I'm concerned, "JDM" IS the new rice. It's not Civics with wings anymore - although those will always be in bad taste - but its the dumb kids with 240s, with 7s, who've never been to a track day in their life...but because of the "canyons", they know what's up. Complete bullshit if you ask me. When you hit up those canyons, you're driving stupidly on a public road, putting yourself - and other drivers - at unnecessary risk. Now if you're driving in a safe manner, that's okay...but it was the original poster of this thread that said...

I wanna see you in action up in the canyons and try not to crash.
If you're gonna push your car, do it at a track. Everyone there knows the risk and has accepted it.

Your meet may not be a ricer convention...but the original post conveyed it as such. And I'm not the only person who thinks that way.

mazpower is the person who's "been there done that"
i can understand where he is coming from all this. i'm in that point of my life just to take things slowly and build a car when i have the right equity as opposed rolling on a POS looking tuner car depending on allowance and min. wage jobs.

EDIT: I guess the vert rims count as a upgrade.
I would agree. I would do engine and suspension work first. Then maybe not even do cosmetic mods. You see, it's called a sleeper.

Reading this thread, seems like my RX-7 wasn't the only one falling apart when they were first bought.

You see, when I used the word JDM it was only sarcasm. YOu know, like imitating people. As for canyons, that's a different story. Orange you glad we didn't call it touge or twogi, cause to you it'd be probaby be rice too.

Then accept my apologies for misunderstanding your post. I'm just far too jaded with anything related to JDM or touge or canyon running or whatever. But I tend to be an ******* and my point of view is a little skewed, so what I say doesn't matter.

I support mazpower...

And why is it that all the "itz not rice!!" arguments come from guys that can't even ******* type out a CLEAR message in a forum post window? Christ, I'm sick and have a massive headache right now... and I'm probably still a thousand times more coherent.

Anyway, you guys in your POS beat to **** FCs that "do all the engine and suspension mods first" obviously don't get it. So you like to prove that you're a skilled driver/tuner? But you're not. Don't act like you're the **** when you're not... driving has a huge learning curve, spotting the posers is hilarious and easy... most of the time everyone treats them like tagalong children, I mean... you don't want to stomp out their little childish dreams would you? That'd just be cruel... so everyone just kinda smiles, nods, turns their back. Tuning has a very short very steep VERY ******* EXPENSIVE learning curve. So don't act like you're the **** at that either unless you've got both a BRAIN and lots of MONEY. And there ARE people with MONEY around here. They also go to the canyons. Mostly those are the guys that are faster than you dream you could be. Why? Because not only do they spend track time learning how to drive PROPERLY without ******* up their cars, or more importantly themselves, they also have the money to install proper equipment and tune it using the right tools. Then they come to the canyons to make themselves feel better when all the losers show up trying to race them. Which I personally think makes them ******** most of the time.

But again, while my opinion probably offends a lot of people... *shrug* I still love the canyons. I could count the number of times I've been to the canyons with STRICTLY a group of good, smart, solid drivers on one hand. Seems every night some asshat turns up to "show off" half the time they end up crashing... the other half they think they're so awesome that they come back next week and do something EVEN DUMBER and really do crash... often times barely escaping death... which I still don't ******* understand.. why do all the idiots get to live?

So to anyone with a brain paying attention... my opinion is basically, if you're a smart, safe, and good driver... hit up the canyons! But if you're not, GTFO.
Of course since the majority of people (especially in the LA area!!!) are too dumb to understand, you can see where that one ends up. (Never underestimate stupid people in large groups...)

So anyhow... my point is... it's not a damn cheapass contest, so stop destroying the poor FCs!! =(

You're a racer? Cool...what was the last track event you've been to? Competition or just an open track day? How did you do?

As for minding my own business, guess what? This is a public board, the post was meant for the members of this site to view. If you want it private, send some PMs. Have a nice day.

How stupid can you be Bob_The_Normal, maybe you should be called Boo_The_Not so Normal.
If your trying to mock me your just looking like an idiot because i didnt say anything you said.
99% of everything i said on my last reply was in perferct english except when I said "Hater" but most people that are normal not like you knows what that means. Maybe you just need more schooling kid and LEARN HOW TO READ ENGLISH. Stop being ignorent kid and stop exagerating everytihng. Maybe you do it just to be cool but its not working your not cool. It just looks stupid. Cheer up kid it will be alright.LOL.

that kind of mindset is a precursor to being homeless...

think out of the box and live for the rainy days too, not only present.

well i really wished all these "forum viewers" would
participate... whether u are hating or not.

anyways, im neither ricer or track racer(yet)
and im on nobody's side(jrex/do luck/mazpower/etc...)

i started this meet in means to gather all rotor heads of OC
to be a one big community like how easily hondatech does it....

before i owned rx7, i had s14 and i went to hondatech meet and i was sooo
impressed....

i know rx7 club can pull off same enthusiasm and attention from both our commu
nity and outsiders(newcomers), and im just trying to spread the happiness
of rotary that's all.... if u are cool for canyons or the JDM fever(like u said, it's new rice), it does not matter in my opinion.

rx7 is neither rice or JDM whored vehichle, and that's why it is as special as it is
to us than any other car can ever be in this land.

stop calling people ricer or JDM blah blah and lets all get to know each other...

there is nothin better than some friendly fun, and friendly fun comes in
different location at different times all depending on what u enjoy...

all gen rx7s are true race cars, and i praise all rx7 owners whether they are
just plain fucked up in the head or too cool... as i said earlier, if primred rx7
is too much for ur tiny little heart can take, u should sell ur rx7 and go buy
a gay s13 or something and drop a sr20... it'll make u happy!!!
