That guy almost hit me too! Oldie was a pretty dumb driver. He was the second person on the 2nd half of the run... until we all passed him when the second lane finally came around.

^ Haha yea, there was a red MX-5 in front of him.. The Red MX-5 waited at the stop sign to let him/ everyone stuck behind him catch up.

But by that time first group.. about 7 cars were way ahead.

Thank god I didn't get stuck behind him, I made sure I was in the front of the group when we left the lake so we wouldn't get stuck behind the old farts in maita's. No offense to the maita owners some of you guys were FLYING!

But yea, hope you guys had a good time. Nice seeing some familiar faces.

Also, IMPACT7.. What car where you driving?

I was in the G35.

I was in the black FD with the vmount, se37a wheels, and mazdaspeed wing. I thought that was you in the G35. You were in all the best spots to take the pics!

Thanks! I was thinking if the miata guys don't hold another one, why don't we continue where they left off? I still have the directions of the course.

^ Main reason why this was to be the last one, was because of road construction on the roads we drove on.

So you would have to map out a different route.

I was thinking they would finish the road construction by next year. If not, it shouldn't be too difficult to create a new route.

Either way, hopefully this isnt the last one. It was a lot more fun than I expected. We were flying through the 2nd half. The blue miata behind me said "wow, we can roast marshmallows in your tailpipe" lol.

i had an awesome time.

i hope i didn't mess up the feng shui of the second half of your ride. i was in the blue miata with the north carolina tags. you guys have some REALLY nice machines and if it weren't for the race tires on my car there's no way i could have kept up with you guys.

Hey, I remember you. I was in the white . . . well the only first gen out there. On the second leg of the run I was at the head of the pack that you were in and then i messed up(no navigatior) and ended up at the back of the pack. The red RX behind you was staying back because of your tires were flinging up gravel and what not. You kept up pretty well with the Rx's. props for running with the big dogs.

By the way, I grabed my camera going out the door and didn't realize that the batteries were dead. If someone could send me some pics of the run that would be great. The pics that I was really interested in were the ones took right off lake elsinor. I posed with 2 other guys in White 2nd and 3rd Gen Rx-7s. (Those pics are so going to be my wallpaper.) Hey guys. I was in that little dinky xA that was in alot of the pictures lol... It was hard catching up to some well tuned machines. I was surprised that my little egg could make it up the steep hills and actually stayed on the road on the downhills. Overall... thanks for coming out and allowing an econobox like mine to run with you guys. I had a blast!

Here are the pictures from my camera.

I have lots of pictures from the event (2+gigs). I need to sort the good ones from the bad and make an album out of them. I'll post the link when I'm done with the pictures.

Heres a pic I took of my car along with two other member's cars. I can make it a calendar or resize it to your desktops resolution.

Is there anyone interested in doing other canyon runs on more of a monthly basis? I wasn't sure if anyone was already doing this. I know we have monthly meets but this would be different. I'm trying to set this up for sometime soon. I live in laguna niguel so somewhere near the starting point for the hangover run would be ideal. But I'm up for suggestions. Just looking for feedback. Thanks.
