Man, I Have Not Logged On Here For About 4 Years. I Was Messaged This Morning About This, And I Came Straight Here. Dave Helped Me Out In So Many Ways. I Remeber Many Years Ago Moving Down To Socal With My Newly Bought 2nd Gen Tii. I Had No Idea How To Keep It Up Nd Dave Was There To Help Me. Even Though I No Longer Have The 7, I Will Always Think Of Dave When I Think Back About It.
I Will See You All On Saturday

I just posted a message there, but someone else beat me to it.
On behalf of the Rx7 community www.rx7club.com we would like to extend a very heartfelt apology to the young lady involved in the accident. We want you to know how sincerely sorry we are that a member of our community caused such a horrific accident and acted so very irresponsibly. We know that words cannot take away the pain you must feel physically and mentally, but its important to us that you know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Dave had many friends in the community and was highly regarded for always 'lending a hand' and sharing his knowledge.
If anyone can tell us how to find her or what her name is, we would very much like to send her something.
Sincerely,
Chris

Their message was better, so I deleted mine.
According to this article, the girl's name is Tamara McAdams.

awwwww man... where do I start...
I'm truly glad I got to meet and talk to Dave in real life...
he was a man who truly dedicated his life to the rotary scene... and to learn that he passed away inside his FD really sent shivers down my spine...
for one man to dedicate his life to his passion and end his life surrounded by it, truly is remarkable...
you will never be forgetten dave, and will ALWAYS be honored amongst the rotary community!

I was lucky to have known Dave, from the forum and personally. He was a close friend of mine and we'd spent many days & nights wrenching together or just hanging out. He will be missed and remembered always.
Rest In Peace my friend.

ok.... donations started for tamara.... the other party involved in the accident.....
I actually got all the info we needed from the Loma Linda Medical Center.
Loma Linda Medical Center
Care of Tamara McAdams unit #8200
11234 Anderson St
Loma Linda, Ca 92354
It would be great if we could start a thread for donations towards some type of flower arrangement and card. I would be more then willing to take on the task of calling a flower shop and sending her something. I will donate the first 20 bucks from my paypal account and accept donations to chris.moore@sage.com
This is a good cause guys. Maybe next time she see's an Rx7, she wont just think about the accident but about a group of enthusiasts who cared enough to reach out to her.
so far we have $90.. but we need more... we are gonna buy flowers and give the rest in the form of a check to the family.....

Dave was a good guy. I met him in person and had him do a lot of work on my cars for years. He was always fair and treated his customers well. He will be missed. I think for those that saw him in person and knew him, maybe his "pimp cane" can be laid to rest at his site. It is a symbol of his good hearted humor we've come to know him for as well as his ability to overcome the daily pain he faced. RIP Dave.

Vipers ; Did she express any sentiment towards this whole situation? Did she have anything to say? I would guess your visit was very brief . . . but did she say anything that should be shared with the rest of us?
