Why is Vbulletin shoving this new avatar nonsense down our throat i.e. no choice to not have one? Or I’m overlooking the option to disable it, not that I can’t handle being defiant to the wannabe overlords

if you had an avatar, nothing should have changed, these were (supposedly) only added to accounts without one.
