apologies if this is not the place to solve (or bitch, beg, chose a verb...) about getting this notification - and therefore blocked from the Forum -
THIS showed up when I tried to go to the Forum
"Your password has expired. Please change it now"

THEN it refused to accept my current password. Making me create another one:



So in the nicest possible terms WHAT.THE.F**K.IS.GOING. ON?!!?
This is happening now every 6 month. I have been on the Forum for 20 years, and NEVER had this grief before this year.
Rant over.
Any thoughts on WHY this is happening and WHO can we talk to to correct this?? Surely they don't make EVERY member run this gamut every 6 months. Of the DOZENS of sites I am a member of, this has NEVER happened elsewhere!!

This is likely enhanced security as you are a moderator?

We plebs are running around using our 15 year old passwords, haha.

i haven't gotten that message in a while now. but i always just reenter the same password i've been using.

 

Robb just emailed me to inform me ALL mods haver the, ah, privileged of having to change their PW twice a year...
*sigh* - nice little kick for 'thanking us for our service' it seems...

Allrightythen...at least I know the Why.
