XS T04S Single Turbo Kit

Today my friend is tuning his car at XS. I left before they are even done. But the last few runs my friend was at 467rwhp @ 16-17psi on 92 pump gas.

Just thought to share..

Oh, the sound of the dyno pull is just amazing. It does sounded like the HP it's putting out.....cover your ears at all times if you don't want to be deaf.

He ported the motor himself, so I guess he has his own porting theory.

The air fuel was somewhere in the range of 10.5:1, 1300cc 2nd / 850cc primar with about 72-75% duty cycle.

His using twin supra fuel pump he said.

My jaws just dropped to see that kinda hp with a T04S.

wow that ratio is rather conservative.. he should see if he gets any gains running 12.0. Hows his timing at? **** I might have to get a TO4S instead of a T66 =] Hows the spoolup on that turbo?

In addition to my question about when he sees 15psi of boost, this is the XS to4s kit right?

He has a great car. The exhaust is rather loud though.

We are hoping he keeps this motor together for a good long time.

The car is supposed to be awesome!!!

i only dyno my T-78 450rwhp @ 20psi with race gas at rotary performance. i also have street ported motor , new GREDDY FMIC with 3" piping, heltech E6K, 1600cc RP FUEL SYSTEM. my air/fuel ratio is about 12.1 before 6500 rpm 11.8 after 6500 rpm.

When I left he was getting 467rwhp, I guess they tweak the air fuel alittle more to get 477rwhp. Awesome.

I posted his mods at the Power FC section, but yeah he's using Power FC:

1300 secondary / 850cc primary
Twin Supra Fuel Pump?
SX Fuel Pressure Regulator
XS T04S kit
Apexi AVCR boost controller
HKS Titanium exhaust 4" straight through
XS Ported Motor
3mm Apex Seals
1.1 bar of boost
Custom Apexi FMIC

Hm..that's about it. Just crank up the boost and tune. The HP was achieved via Eric Hsu's magic tuning, with I think close to 30 pulls on the dyno...scary.

Then my friend called me next day and told me the car is rather scary to drive now. He's going to Sevenstock btw since he works for XS and XS will be at 7stock.

I am not sure about the timing though..

those are some awesome numbers... especially at such a low psi on pump gas.. does anyone know how much that XS kit costs?? I imagine alot of it is in XS building and tuning the motor too....

I would be carefull of posting BS FLAGS

I get 520bhp at 1bar 14.5psi boost with a TO4 wich is over 450rwhp.......at std temp and std pressure day.

Now depending on ambient conditions and dyno accuracy it would be easy to have a difference of + or - 5% if there is no correction factor applied for the variations in atmospheric conditions.

Let alone individual dyno accuracy.

450+rwhp is very achievable with a TO4 and street porting on a "proper street port" 13B

Street ports do vary! go visit my web page and look under porting...this is the reason why I make so much power at lower boost levels.

Nice power, go the TO4

Roy,

All you have to do is call XS. If it's BS then it they are in on it. They confirmed on 2 occasions to 2 people.

Perhaps the BS flag should have been posted on your thread when you 'cancelled' your T-78 purchase that was such a great deal?

Uh-huh...see what I mean?

Regards,

Well, I guess we'll jsut wait until the car goes to the track and brings us some slips...that'll tell a lot.

I've just know there are too many ways to manipulate numbers on a dyno. I'm not saying this was done.

FYI: The T-78 was (and still is) a great deal. If circumstances change, I'll still probably get it.

I'm with you, Roy. Timeslips talk, BS walks....errrr something like that. Those are the highest numbers I've ever heard of and its not by a small margin, more like about 50 hp. No flames, maybe theres some magic part of this buildup the owner hasn't disclosed or something (n20, massive porting, ect). Even single turbo Supras wont lay down that much at 15 psi(bad comparison I know).

The car has massive porting. No nitrous. Car will be at 7stock I think.

Porting, tuning and Sizing your turbo correctly.

Putting off the shelf parts will just get you off the shelf number. That's what everyone do because that's what majority of you do. But because someone went the other route and got a different result does not mean it's not possible.
