strut tower bar for the rear

I just bought and received a strut tower bar for my FC. I got it from JC Whitney...I probably shouldnt have but I figured its cheap and if it doesnt fit, I can still use it on either the front or my FD. As I suspected, the box says clearly 93-95 RX-7. which i dont really mind since I can use it.
My question is, does anyone out there sell or make the rear strut tower brace for second gens? I dont want to go ahead and order another one and have to send it back cause(like J C Whitney) they sort of goofed!!!

Corksport has the Mazdaspeed unit listed on their webpage. I heard Cusco makes one as well. Good Luck!

cusco makes an alum. one for around 150, at corksport, rx7.com, or the store link on this site. they also have a carbon fiber one for 230. you have to cut up your shock towers a bit. the mazdaspeed one you don't have to but it costs more and probably isn't as strong.

thye also both make front lower bars for fc for $110-130. I'll be ordering one in the spring. the mazda speed one looks much better and is only a bit more then the cusco.

CUSCO is the best. I got both upper and lower on the front. makes a hell of a difference!

What's the point in tying the rear of the LCA's together? doesn't that big *** engine crossmember provide enough lateral support on the bottom? Top I can understand, because it gaps a large hole, but the bottom seems pretty strong as is. Educate me, please.

The best design I've seen for an upper strut tower bar was from Mazdatrix. It's a little on the pricay side, at $320 or so, but triangulated the strut towers to the firewall. I think they still sell it, but I haven't looked for it in a while (no money).

I have the Mazdaspeed front brace and rear strut brace and can't imagine anything being stronger. Both braces are about 1 3/4" wide and about 5/8" thick shaped like a flattened oval with an indentation running the length on the front edge and the rear edge.

The fit is superb. For the rear, all I did was drill holes in the shock tower carpeting for the included bolts to fasten to EXISTING holes in the shock tower.

They are polished aluminum braces with gold-anodized brackets. In the center top of the brace there is a stamped Mazdaspeed logo......these parts are very rigid and flawless.
