I'd like to see the OEM Recaro seats they are currently using in Japan for the FD. Anyone got a pic? Anyone know how to get any current FD products here?

Well if your refering to the red ones they currenty offer in the RZ model.. good luck.. your only chamce is if you know some1 in japan who can find one of the very few in the junkyard already.. (if there are any) .. or to contact mazda of Japan ..(the actual dealership there) and speak to the parts department... ive had someone do so for me and werd onthe street is 3800 US dollars Per seat.. no im not kidding. thats y i dont have them .. yes 3800 each.. i dont know if theyve gone down or not.. all i know is that when the RZ first came out this past year.. i immediatly contacted someone i know that goes back and forth and had him check for me . and thats what he came up with.

thats what i said but in Japanese.. loololol i was shocked.. dont even know why/.. the thing i was thinkin tho was.. find out who maks em diectly and contact them . .i know the Nardi steering wheel that comes in the RZ is like 1500 from mazda of Japan.. but i can get em diect from nardi for 500..so im tryin to do that with the seats.. we all know how overpriced Dealers are..

How about just buying the 'Pole Position' shell directly from Recaro (~$800 per seat). Check out http://www.recaro-nao.com/seattechnologies/

It looks like the seat rails they used in the RZ are similar to the rails we have, so it should not be a big deal to mount the shell on them plus it will save you ~$6000!

 

Those seats are sweet but nearly $8000...
