OK boys and girls, assuming the mail service delivers my rail tomorrow like they should, we will have a definitive answer as to whether or not the current primary rail will work on an -RE motor. :fingers crossed:

We want to wait until we can get a solid date on completing the rails before setting up a group buy and taking any money. We apologize as its taking much longer than we anticipated so thanks for hanging in with us. We promise it will be worth the wait and we will definitely be working on setting up some rail and injector packages also.

Ok. Pictures will have to wait until the next couple of days since my camera decided to go screwy on me, but here is the news a few of us have been waiting for.

The current primary rail DOES work on a 13B-RE. After talking to Aaron, I was the new guinea pig for verifying the fitment. I am currently running a stock secondary rail, so I bought the appropriate -6 O-ring to -6 fittings and two -6 to 90* barb fittings to allow me to connect everything.

At first, I pulled my diffusers out and cut off the lower section, intending to just use the upper half as a spacer. Then I simply swapped the lower O-rings on my Bosch injectors for the Denso cushons and installed the rail. When I fired the car up, I had a high idle that hadn't been there before. I pulled everything apart and also pulled my diffusers out to check them as well. It turns out that the grommets on the diffusers weren't in the best shape, and I guess that pulling them out in the first place made them worse.

Not wanting to have to source new grommets, I decided instead to put one extra Denso cushion in each primary injector port to take up the space left by leaving the diffuser out. I reassembled everything and tried again. SUCCESS! No leaks (fuel or vacuum) to be found. I'm pretty certain that leaving your diffuser in and using just the one cushion will work fine, but I would check the grommet while you have everything apart.

Cliff's Notes: The FFE primary rail DOES work on the 13B-RE.

Many thanks to Aaron for being prompt with getting the rail to me overnight as requested as well as having great customer service. Definitely continue to support a great vendor making incredible products!

how about bigger AN threads? I'm using AN10 for my entire fuel system and don't want to stage down.

Robzter,
We use -6 O-ring because our rails are designed to be compact to allow for emissions etc and 3/8 tube flows more than enough for any current ID injector. In severe situations you may consider running your rails in parallel and/or using a -6 to -8/-10 fitting on them. Redhorse makes some very nice radiused o-ringed adapter fittings.
Thanks!

Oh, Aaron, I should be able to pull my manifold and get some shots of the rail installed tomorrow since I'm off for the rest of the week.

I may have missed this somewhere and I apologize if I did but is there an option for these to work with stock injectors? Thank you!

With the current spacers the rails only support 36 and 48mm injectors (EV14) while the stock injectors are 60mm. So for now they do not. In the future we may do longer spacers for those wanting to run EV1 injectors.

Machine shop has the material for FD/RE secondary rails, will hopefully see one next (+ a week for Ano).

txfdr2,
The FD/RE primaries are done & we can take payment for those now, or you can wait for secondaries if you want the set.
Thanks!
