1. Depends on what you want. I personally used my GM alternator and located it low on the passenger side using a relocation bracket (common item for GM found at Summit, Jeg's and most speed shops). I have a manual steering rack so it fits perfectly.
2. I used Auto-Meter gauges so mine is different than a stock gauge - Granny's and Hinson both list an adapter to make it work with a GM transmission - I think it's in the $230 range to make the stock speedo work (don't quote me because I didn't use anything like that).

the ugly part:
3. I used Schoenfeld full length headers that don't fit. I've seen posted that their regular headers for a G-body DO FIT (I think part# 185http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/street_stock.htm )but I went with the large tube that are a different style and simply too big for the car. I MADE them fit with a grinder and a hammer, but I wouldn't recommend doing that. I have also heard that 1st Gen F-body headers will fit, and that 3rd Gen F-body shorty headers will fit. Also been told the Jeep conversion headers by Advanve Adapters work good.

At any rate, from the headers I ran true dual 3" exhaust back to Dynomax Race series mufflers. They are too big to shove in the stock locations with 3" tubing so they are set at an angle under the car between the stock location and where the fuel tank used to be (I have a fuel cell in the hatch).

I'd recommend a pair of shorty headers, dual 2 1/4 inch exhaust with an x-pipe and some smaller Dynomax mufflers to anyone who wants a nice, clean install. I didn't go that route because I am building a bigger cubic inch motor with a big cam and I need all the flow I can get.
