What battery are you running?

Curious to see what others are running. Looks like my odyssey is on it's way out and trying to figure out a suitable replacement.

Also curious for those who don't drive their cars frequently if you keep them on a minder/tender?

Sears Die Hard Platinum AGM. The internets suggests that its a re-branded Odyssey battery. At the very least its made by the same company that does odyssey and its in the same case. Its certainly cheaper than Odyssey batteries. Comes with a 4 yr warranty as well

Is it a mini? What is the size/part number? Do you use a battery tender/minder?

I am looking for something in a similar size to the pc680 that is in there now.

Odyssey PC680 battery
Its a full sized battery. I'd rather eat the couple lbs of weight for spare power in case I want to leave the radio on or something.

Its the PC1500 thats at sears.

Thanks Bryan.
i'm in need of a new battery myself, and have been debating between the Optima Red and the Odyssey. the Odyssey that would fit in the stock location (35-PC1400T) is $279, and i read mixed reviews about the quality of the Optima, so started looking at the Die Hard Batteries.

10% off if you order online through 5/2/13 and pickup in the store. Glad to know that it's a re-branded Odyssey.

Optima Yellow Top 51R located in pass rear bin. I've been using optima's for the last decade. We use them in pairs in all of our trucks at work without issue as well. Those are reds tops. I use yellows.

I've unfortunately deep cycled it numerous times and it just keeps on kicking. It has NEVER had any issues turning the motor over even at 11.5CR.

I drive mine a couple times a week. If I have to go on a trip for work I just disconnect the battery and it's gtg. Last time was for 6 week without issue. Car started right up.

Optima Red Top. Excellent battery, relocated to my trunk right in the middle underneath the strut bar. Kind of inconvienient but I didn't want to lose a storage bin for my battery. Excellent cranking power. Way better than the small battery that could barely crank my engine when it was cold.
