I had this weird idea today. Everyone knows adding a V8 to an RX-7 takes away from handling. But VW has a W8 engine which is the same width as a V8 but not nearly as long. Anyone ever thought about doing this kind of conversion?

 

Ummm I think the general consensus has been that the LS1 doesnt take away from the handling.

Actually, Icemastr is correct. The all aluminum LS1 adds little difference to the F/R weight ratio. So the handling shouldn't be effected too much.

Yeah you're right I know nothing about engines. I mean my 10 second nova is just a piece of ****. Yeah I'm a n00b, still in middle school, even if I am 22, fought in two wars, drank more beer in more foreign countries than you can name, my fiance lives with me. w8 wouldn't be too bad if you twin turbo it.....put's out great power....or w16 and quad turbo it for 1001 hp...just an idea...front end isn't long enough probably...just thought's though...it would be unique....
