Anyone out there with this setup?? this is exactly what I want to do!

 

For a while I was strongly considering this setup since people are proud and in love with the t56. I can't seem to find one for under $1500 whereas the T5 is available from $400-800.

Now the general consensus is that the t5= garbage.

I personally don't know but if I cant find a cheap t56 by the time i'm done building my engine I might settle for the T5

I just posted all of my pictures in the V8 swap thread.
I have a Built Ford 351 with a T5 tranny.

For the price I would definitely do it again.
Just my opinion though obviously there are alot of people who disagree with me.
But that fact is that I own one, and its not as terrible as everyone makes it out to be.

I hope to put a T5 behind a 5.0 Ford. I don't anticipate having much of budget, most the reason for going ford and a T5, keep it check, keep easy.

 

I plan on putting a T5 behind a Ford 5.0. I don't anticipate having a very big budget so I want to keep the build cheap and simple.
