thanks yolo. I hope your build is going well.
finishing her up. Just went through rear end, switched tranny fluids and different intake to lower powerband....
man, I flogged it yesterday and this thing screams. I mean flat out 1st through 5th, coming out of corners in 2nd, fricking scary fast, I hope you keep going, as I went through long droughts of being done with it, but after yesterday I can now say wow.....I gotta check myself to not get crazy or get arrested lol. Nice going to sleep with that “damn that thing runs strong” dreams going on. Now to drive it a lot and see how it stacks up to these new beasts out there from the factory.
keep plugging man. It’s worth it.

Update. Had some frustration with cooling and Tranny/clutch and got frustrated. Finishing up changes now and here are a couple of changes I have made.
Rebuilt my transmission - T5 Chevy WC with OD-the hard ones to find
What I put in it and what's already good.
Upgrades- Paul Congelosi counter shaft support to reduce flex
Brass shifting forks
Shifter w/ bump stocks, but already had that
Bronze shifter bushing
It already had the steel pilot shaft which is great and has the good main shaft with pin as opposed to ball
Full rebuild including synchros and new 3/4 fork
What was wrong. Well pretty sure I had my clutch adjusted too tight so when I went to **** it wasn't freed up to hit next gear well (mainly just going into 3rd)
What broke- 3-4 shift lever-completely sheared off. Must have slammed hte heck out of it into 3rd to do that
Clutch and pressure plate were completely destroyed. -see partial carnage. LOL
New Radiator
New shroud fabricated from old one and front plate as well
16' 4 blade race fan
Wrapping it up in the next 2 days with goal of hitting the 1/4 mile on test and tune Friday night. Car ran great before, hopefully this cured a couple things. I don't plan to beat on it at the track....just a daddy daughter thing and she really wants me to take it as we hit Moroso from time to time.

Tranny works great and shifts very well. Still breaking the clutch in after about 2 hours driving on it. Ram clutch rated at 450 HP. I will say it is a PITA breaking in a clutch on this, maybe it is the lightened flywheel, but it is getting stronger after two heat cycles and some time on it. I dare not open it up though or be in 3,4 or 5th and gas it at low rpm as that. I've been building up to say 4k rpms slowly, especially in 3 and 4...5th, well I don't want a speeding ticket just yet....but the action feels smother and is gfripping better each time I take it out.
Engine cooling issues are OVER- FINALLY! Stays at 190 even w/o the front fans on! I think the old rad was gummed up on top of fins being banged up. SO EXCITED as I fought the cooling issues a long time with lots of combos. Seems new shroud, 16" fn and new rad did the trick. I may even put A/C on it's mostly set up for it already.
Happy Dance!.......look out Tesla's and Mustangs and Camaro's :-)
Took her out yesterday and today, both days multiple people thumbs up, driving next to me to check it out, on guy at station asked me if I wanted to sell. Nah....not now that the bugs are worked out.

GSXR 750 went down in flames :-) rolling start from about 60. He was ahead of me by 2 cars when he nailed it. I came by him pretty damn fast.......it wasn't even close. I ran it up to about 125 or so, but blew past him a good bit before that. I never thought I had a chance lol. Got the thumbs up at the next ligh.

Real happy for you. You've done a nice job with the car. We've shared some similar issues but have to say you've been much more dedicated in getting through them.
What's your best 1/4 miles time?

I'll give you the long answer :-)
I've been to the track with it twice. The first time I went it would lay over in 3rd. I had someone do the exhaust for me, and my last words were just make sure it's quiet, so I can't completely blame him......but. He had a singl 2 1/2 pipe going over the rear end to the muffler. I was good for just driving and the occassiona romp, but it REALLY showed at the track. That day I got in like 3 runs and EVERY time it would go flat mid 3rd gear. every time, so I knew I had to redo the exhaust.
all 3 runs were low to mid 14....like 14.1-14.4 ish.....
after changing the exhaust and having a 3 1/2 pipe over the rear end I go again. The track was packed, I mean packed and only got one run. That said I was sitting next to the car I ran which was an auto 392 charger with r comp tires, line lock and drag mode etc. I know because I heard him going over the car with someone and his tune when he got to the line etc. and there he did a very slow burnout and I did none. I ran 14.112 if I remember correctly, and here's the but....
He pulled out on me as I was going through 1st and 2nd and when I hit 3rd I was pulling on him hard and got all excited and missed 4th and coasted to a 14.1 I checked the time slip to see if I was crazy....and yep. he roasted me with the auto and tires etc, but I gained a lot on him per the timeslip in 3rd....and after waiting over an hour to run and me pulling on him I got giddy and missed 4th. I've never done that and was playing nice with the tranny, so maybe that had something to do with it..... anyhow. It's on stands now for suspension and putting in a heavier flywheel and clutch rated at like 600+hp because the current 450hp clutch does not hold well enought. So, once I get it to where I can start in second, ( not launching hard ) and I chill and go through the gears I expect in the high 12's or better based on the fact that I was undoubtedly faster side to side over 60mph after I was hooked up.. I think he ran a low 12 against me.
