I live in Ohio, (my user name isnt correct, something is wrong with the website) and that is a completely stock engine. the FD is supercharged, and is considerably faster. Both are T56 six speed tremec's, but an automatic version would be qiucker, but not as fun. Mail me at mruhlin@hotmail.com and any ls1 will work, since I have converted 3 cars to them, I would like to have an extra.

you know many of you are right, an n/a 7 isnt much fun. But a turbo quickly changes things. Research and come to your own conclusion. Im tired of arguing and trying to convince people otherwise cuz I know its a lost cause. If you want a v8 go ahead its your car and your money. I guess I get so offensive because I have my vert just siting in my garage w/o an engine and when I imagine anything other than a couple rotors occupying the bay it pisses me off, especially a 8. I think v8's are overrated. Jap and euro power plants are superior to those of the domestic market. the 2j and the rb36 engines can and have surpased hp figures laid down by similiarly built 8's. 2jz engines are known for their internals and can easily make 700 hp stock block. compare that to stock block figures of one with same displacement offered by the USDM .I understand that rotaries dont make the most torque around but equiped with an fd or fb and some work done its shown that it can match 1/4 times of similiar cars with 1 to 2hundred horses more.

first of all, most of us doing the conversions have had fairly high horsepower rotary powered 7's before we said- enough is enough! second who cares about this "stock block" ****. there is a '98 ls1 camaro making ~800 to the rear wheels, stock 120k mile motor, only mods- titanium retainers, single turbo kit~14psi, upgraded injectors and tuned stock computer. you don't hear about these cars though. i will find a link for ya.
