I'm assuming you meant naturally aspirated? Supercharged, you could make that much power easily with an internally stock LS1 with a decent cam and mildly worked over heads.

Well I know that hood clearance is an issue so is a supercharged LS1 workable without a lot of customer brackets and belts?
And that brings up an idea. Is it possible to have a supercharger with an AC Compressor clutch? Thus creating a supercharger on a switch? I like the idea of adding a great deal of power with the push of a button. And no, I don't want NO2.
Hmmm.... Well is a 50hp shot of NO2 in an LS1 really that bad?

Very expensive, because of the relative young age of the engine. I would expect a bill of $6000 plus the cost of an engine. These engine make around 375 out of the factory, but can be expensive to upgrade.

I'm actually running the stock 4.10 and 225 D/R tires. They hold pretty good as long as you're not trying to get it sideways. Course, I wouldn't mind some wider rubber either.

You can build a heads/cam/boltons LS1 with 460rwhp. LG motorsports has it with their G5X2 cam and heads package. It isnt uncommon nowdays for ls1's with heads and cam to be over 425rwhp.
THAT IS WITH STOCK DISPLACEMENT!!!!
A stroker motor will give you bigger possiblities for 500+rwhp but not needed if you are looking 450ish. Call Log at LG motorsports he is a great guy to talk to on the phone and will anwser ALL your questions even if you havent spent a dime there.
Actually they even guarantee the HP if you have them do the heads/cam install plus do the computer tune.
**** milder cammed LS1's are making 415 rwhp with stock displacement and a cam that you cant even tell a cam is in there.
