Don't forget the suspension rebuild parts for an FD....
$1K in poly bushings and (6) new rear pillowballs.
not counting labor
*another $400+ for toe/trailing arms
Then the stock springs/shocks are most likely still there....
plan on $1k+ for decent coilovers..... and $300-400 for an alignment/corner weight
If you track the car then you need brakes front/rear
$2500+ for anything decent
That also means you need new rims/tires to fit 13" front rotors.
Cobra rear swap is $2500-3K all in....
If you pull the heads on the motor.... mill them to get as much compression as your pump gas can support. With a healthy size cam.....91 octane is normally good for 11.25-11.5:1, 92 can handle 12:1. e85 can handle 13.5:1+ compression. Compression makes torque.... just like more cubic inches.
If you have the $$$... start out with an LS2 or bigger. Cubes really make the car rip.
A tune by any decent tuner is $350-500. At least out here.
Long tube headers IMO are a must on these swaps.... and a cam swap. Or you are giving up 50rwhp+ quite easily.
