Questions for the fc v8 swapped owners. What kind of rear diffs are you guys using? Is it necessary to upgrade the stock lsd?

Most people just run the stock turbo2 diff on the fc and of course the stock Torsen on the fd. If you set it up for drag racing, most put in a solid rear end.

Ronin makes a swap kit to put the cobra 8.8 IRS diff in the fc, which gives you a lot of options for aftermarket diffs, and ratios.

It's amazing what you can get in that engine bay if you work at it

Notice the size of that valve cover?

First off, excuse the sleepy eyes. They were like that due to my HID retrofits. That has since been fixed so they're up at full height now.

Always a work in progress. Right now it just needs to be tuned and a few other little things. Alas, it's about winter, so I won't be driving it until next year.

Everyone has probably seen the car. Its that red touring with the 5.3/4l60e that was bouncing around the last few months. Got it soo cheap, i couldnt pass it up. Im gonna swap a t56 into it and put some nice tires on it and get out on track. Dan(scrub) took me for a ride at the Carlisi meet and i had a blast. Cant wait!!!!

Its actually not the cobra diff, its 02-05 Explorer, navigator, mountainer. Their reasoning being that they are vasty more common making it easier to source. I also own this swap kit and about to start install very soon. I picked up a 02explorer diff with axels for 200. total $ should be around 1700,1800. Pics to come shortly.
