New V8-RX7 Forum
Hey guys,
Some of you may have heard the talk of a new V8-RX7 forum well at 9PM EST tonight it will arrive.
The forum will be openened for all to see at that time and we hope you will join us and post. The moderators are all well known members of the v8-rx7 community.
The link is www.swapcartech.com/forum
Enjoy,
Rob
Brian: My apologies if this was not appropriate, i just felt that TC links are allowed so why not other links. Once again my apologies if this was out of line

Are there that many V8 RX7 people that we needed another V8 RX7 forum outside of the TC one from the V8RX7.com site, and this location here? Seems like it would be mostly the same people having the same conversations...
The TC site is where people talk about and share the builds and events. This little part of the RX7club site gets RX7 owneres to understand/know about the conversion. What will another site bring to the small community that can't be found in the existing ones?

This forum has been created with several v8 rx7 veterans (i am fairly well known too) and well known community members as mods. Im not sure how much time you spend/spent on TC (i spend a lot) but it leaves a desire for things to be divided up better. With the size of the community (605 pages of posts just in the tech section of v8rx7) i felt this was a good time to do so. There is also an area dedicated to other swap cars.
Check it out and see what you think...its open as of now
Edit: And yes, there will be plenty of info on the v8rx7 swap.

I see no problem with it being posted here as TC links are allowed.
Personally, I would like to see a dedicated forum for V8 RX7s.
Not sure how well other swapped cars would do though. I worked on a SBC powered Jaguar XJS tonight and needed electrical information regarding the chassis and niether TC or here would have done me any good at all. If I hadn't figured it out on my own I would have went to a Jag forum.
The point is, in order to succeed and do it well you need to specialize.
The technical bits of of the swap regarding electrical and plumbing on the engine side are well documented and anyone who's completed a swap can help anyone else with that end of it.
If someone asked me how long it would take to LS1 swap a Jeep I would have no idea as I've never had one, nor know anything about the electrical subsystem. I could give them info on what inputs and outputs the LS1 needs but as far as which headers would work the best or which transfer case to use, I'd be lost.
Prime examples of focusing on one subject and doing it well:
Chevrolet's SBC
Carroll Shelby
Tivo
The good ol' saying of K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid) works.
I haven't checked out the new forum yet, but take a look at TC and how well everyone gets along (for the most part) and the centralized store of information.
